Harrowing footage has been shown at the Hillsborough inquests of events leading up to Britain's worst football disaster, which claimed the lives of 96 people.
People attending the court hearing in Warrington, including relatives of the fans killed, were warned beforehand they may want to leave before the images were shown.
CCTV played to jurors showed crowds building up outside the Leppings Lane entrance to the Hillsborough football stadium.
And it showed the number of fans trying to get into the match still building just 10 minutes before the the 3pm kick-off.
The jury heard how police agreed a gate could be opened, allowing an extra 2,000 supporters into the ground.
At the same time, separate footage inside the stadium showed how packed with fans two pens were becoming.
Even before the start of the match, images could be seen of fans being lifted out, while some tried to climb to safety.
Jurors have already heard a request was made for a fleet of ambulances at 3.06pm after the match had been called off.
The court heard it was not until after 3.20pm Hillsborough was declared a major incident, by which time many fans lay injured, dead or dying on the pitch.
