Ex-Police Chief Bettison Faces Lawrence Probe

Ex-Police Chief Sir Norman Bettison referred to the police watchog over claims officers tried to smear Stephen Lawrence's family.

West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Burns-Williamson referred Sir Norman, saying he had "significant concerns" about his conduct when he was Assistant Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police in 1998.
